1 Body Church exists to launch and grow disciple multiplying movements that transform communities until the whole world knows
Movements result from believers pouring themselves deeply into others, equipping them to make another disciple. This creates a multiplication effect that can’t be duplicated by simply adding more people into large congregations – or even adding more large congregations.
Many followers of Jesus would say that the church’s mission is evangelism: to seek and save the lost. One issue though: That’s NOT the mission Jesus gave to his followers.
The phrase “servant leader” is used a lot in church and ministry settings. But “servant” and “leader” are two concepts that don’t go together well in our day and age.
The time between the end of spring football practices and the fall season is a curious time where fans talk about football but no one is actually playing it. Let’s learn a lesson from this as we think about making disciples.
One who hears, obeys and spreads Jesus’ commands.
Increasing greatly in number or quantity.
A common belief, identify and practice that spreads across all boundaries.
A dramatic change at a community level.
Until the Whole World Knows
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations...” – Mathew 24:14
Jesus made a way for us to be reconciled to God, and by believing in him we can have eternal life.
